Winter CSA

We are excited to offer a winter CSA from January 8 – May 14. Pick-ups will be every other Friday for a total of 10 boxes. The farm is offering three different share types (all vegetable, with eggs/meat, with eggs/dairy) and two different sizes of each. See below for samples of each share.

Norwich Meadows Farm Organic Hoboken CSA

The Hoboken CSA will bring fresh, organic produce directly to our members every week. Norwich Meadows Farm is certified organic and is located in Chenango County near Binghamton, New York. They believe food should nourish and not cause any harm to our bodies or the environment, and produce food that is free of harsh chemicals and is grown using natural fertilizers. How It Works

CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture is a direct partnership between the farm and its consumers. The consumer (or shareholder) pays the farm ahead of time in exchange for a ‘share’ or weekly box containing freshly harvested fruits and vegetables from the farm. Payment to the farm at the start of the season, facilitates planning and ensures that there is much needed incoming cashflow for seeds, equipment and labor. All vegetables and eggs are organic.  All fruit is grown using integrated pest management practice.

What's in your Share Box

The contents and weight of your share box will vary from week to week depending on what’s in season. As crops become available, they will be added to the box assuring you a variety of high quality organic produce. Crops for the winter may include things such as: Garlic, Cippolini Onion, Shallots, Scallions, Beets (Red, White, Forono, Gold, White, Badger, Chioggia), Cabbages (Caraflex, Green, Napa, Red), Carrots (Orange, Kyoto, Purple, White, Yellow), Celery Root, Parsley, Cilantro, Celery, Sunchokes, Kohlrabi, Potatoes (Red, Blue, Yukon Gold, Russet, Fingerings), Sweet Potato, Radish (Black, Watermelon, Japanese, Daikon, Green Meat, Bordeaux), Parsnips, Rutabaga, Turnips (Japanese, Hinona Kabu, Red).  Here are some examples of what you might find in your box:
